I was pleasantly surprised by the quality and the size of the set. It is pricey and while I was waiting for it (it takes long to get it) I started having second thoughts about spending so much for a two-piece set. But when I received I was glad I bought it. Each piece is much larger than I expected it to be. They appear to be made of a very strong dense foam that did not give in under the standing weight of my 35lb 2.5 year old. Each piece has very strong velcro strips on the bottom such that they can be arranged in different ways and attached together so that they do not shift. Also, being that they are vinyl, I planned on using the set outdoors because of possible fumes. Still, I was very happy to see that the pieces did not have any unpleasant odor or smell you would expect from vinyl or foam.I am the grandmother who resists the bells, lights and whistles and provides the gross motor and active play tools. Although I think this is overpriced considering the simplicity of materials and construction, it is providing a BLAST of indoor tiring activity for a busy toddler. It can be configured in different ways which are challenging her imagination, coordination, balance and strength. Recommend supervision to a daredevil who likes to jump however.I bought this for my 7-month old, and he still enjoys it four months later. His older sister, who is 2 and a half, also enjoys laying on it to read or play. The two pieces hold together very well. The baby loves climbing all over it, and has learned to slide himself down the incline. I'm considering buying another piece to go with it.I purchased this for my grandson who has Spina Bifida. His parents work diligently with him to assist him in using his legs. He loves climbing up the steps and sliding down. It is well made and easy to wipe off. I would highly encourage others who are encouraging their kids to move to make the investment in this play set. This is the best purchase I've made for my baby! It has helped her develop balance, and learn to climb and stand without having to worry about her hurting herself. The slide is the perfect size and she is now fearless, going down head first. The pieces Velcro together underneath and you can arrange it any way for some variation.Kids use it every day since infancy to preschool. We've had it for a year and it is really durable. My fifteen month old grandson enjoys using this daily. It is both well designed and well made. This step and slope set is well made and as others have pointed out, it has no smell. I have seen a lot of these and when I saw the picture of the baby with it, I thought it looked plenty big for my seven month old. As others have commented that it was bigger than expected, I didn't bother measuring out the dims. My son likes to play with it but it is too small. He looks like a giant on it. My son is a big baby (tall) and loves to play on the bigger one at his Gymboree class. It arrived without an actual shipping box. It was the two items wrapped with thick plastic and packing tape stuck everywhere. I was so afraid to cut the items inside so I had to spend quite some time to carefully cut the plastic cover.
