Easy to install. It did take awhile but I expected it to. Looks good on my Polaris Ranger steering wheel. Glad I bought itThe packaging was good and this is of nicer quality than the other brands. The stitching was just the zigzag type. I found the process a bit more challenging due to the long thread length. My tips:. Pick a shady spot and move the car around, moving the steering wheel as you need (nicer, so you don't have to"stand on your head" to get all sides.Hold each pulled stitch tightly with non-dominant hand. I had originally planned to do several stitches and tighten then all with pliers. But the needle nose pliers shredded the thread!!I never had to use the second bundle of thread....Perfect fit for my 2007 Merc Mariner (like Ford Escape,)Steering wheel cover seemed to be of nice quality, BUT... The circumference of the GRIP (where you actually hold the wheel) of the steering wheel of my '95 Firebird is 3.25". This comes out to a fraction over 1" diameter. This is far too small for the width of the cover. No matter how tightly you pull the stitching, the cover will be far too loose. (I mean LOOSE). I think if your steering wheel grip diameter is 1.25" (approx. 4" circumference) the cover will probably work, so get a cloth tape measure and make sure to get the measurement before purchasing the cover. Sad that I had to return it because it looked really nice, but there's no way that this cover will work on a "skinny" steering wheel.Very happy with it it was a bit of a pain in the ass to put on it was very snug to put on but I understand why kind of difficult to stitch up yourself but once you get the hang of it you get in your emotion I like it before I had a wooden frame that was all broken but this time it has really improved my lookGood color & material... was just too big for the factory wheel in my 87 Monte Carlo SS with the dark red interior. This installation method is far superior to and easier than the stitch-on covers that just have holes. Also, love the pebbled feel. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is because the color could be better. The images are pretty accurate in terms of color—definitely not orange like the title says. I was hoping for more of a British tan, and these are a little more dull tan.The dark red is a beautiful color! It took some stretching to get it around my steering wheel (‘11 Jetta Sportwagen) but it did fit. It took me just over an hour to install it. I do wish I had pulled harder at the beginning because it would close the two sides if I had done that but I was worried about breaking the thread/string. I shouldn’t have worried, I was able to pull the latter part closed. Now I know for next time.key is to take your time stitching it and make sure to watch the videos several time will save you alot of time and hassle. but once you get it on it looks great.I found the leather was too tight, out of the box, to stretch over the wheel. I used a generous amount of leather conditioner to soften the inside and hung some weight to stretch it out. After 24 hours, the cover went on much easier. I waxed the string / thread to ensure there was no friction when running the line through the stitches. I bought a black leather cover with black stitches and black lace. I found it difficult to see when stitching as everything was black. Make sure you have the cover centered and take your time. I did not find the leather or string substandard. I recommend watching a couple You Tube videos to assist you if you have never done this before. This was my first steering wheel cover and the YT videos assisted as each person had helpful suggestions. This has endured over 50000km and is still in perfect shape. Easy to clean, the yellow is still yellow. Tedious to put it on, but that's inevitable and kind of the point.
