The construction was good quality, and it went together quickly and easily. I bought a one piece waterproof rubber play mat and used the included Velcro fasteners to adhere the playpen to the mat. If you don’t do that, your kiddo will be taking your play pen for a trip around the room, so my advice is to buy a mat slightly larger than the pen and make sure it’s attached. The Velcro is strong and the pen works perfectly. I have a lot of peace of mind knowing my little one is safe and sound in there.Just what we needed for our apartment. We wprried that it would be too small, but its the perfect size for her to crawl and play. Has enough room for her lovevery play gym as well.This playpen is super cute and easy to put together! But be careful because not all the pieces have the same number of dowels. Some have 9 and some have 10, so if you’re not paying attention your pen will be uneven at the end and you’ll have to build it twice (like me ☹️).The wood is so so soft! I was worried bare wood might lead to splinters but no worries about that now. The gate is kinda tricky to open so that’s good to keep kiddos contained. It’s super light weight, which makes it easy to move but might not be safe enough on its own when my little chunker can stand. It comes with little Velcro pieces I don’t want to ruin my floors with, so I’ll probably have to get furniture tiesWe were looking to enclose our play area since our 8mo is a mover now. This has been great! It’s real wood and our little one can pull up on it to stand. It doesn’t fall over, but it’s not 100% solid (if he’s standing and leaning on it), so we monitor closely. Overall would recommend!My baby is so happy that she can play safely and still see me at the same time. This was easy to put together, I did it myself. It looks very nice. The only thing I would change is maybe making the bars a little closer together since my baby can fit her leg through them but I guess if they were too close then she wouldn't be able to see me very well so IDKDidn’t give a full 5 just because it didn’t come with instructions for whatever reason and it took longer to assemble because of that. Other than that, we love it. Aesthetically pleasing and does the job!I ordered the ex large sized play yard. I received my order on time and it was packaged well. No instructions were included, but it wasn't hard to figure out. I ordered this over the other similar play yards because I wanted something that wasn't all plastic, and I didn't want canvas/mesh material, I read those tear easily. I really like this play yard. The wood has a smooth finish, and you can order extending attachments if you want to make it bigger. It's not as tall as I thought it would be, but after reading the description of others they all seem to be around the same height. I would recommend ordering a playmat to put inside. I would definitely recommend this play yard to other parents.I like that its expandable.
